What is this site about? Hmm… that’s a good question.
I guess I could write about how after 10 years of depression, I finally got on top of it—and I can teach you how to do it too! Except… that’s not really true. First, it’s now 15 years of depression. And I certainly haven’t gotten on top of it after all these years, no matter how my old ‘about page’ tried to spin it.
That’s why it had to go. It was too salesy. Just reading it gave me the creeps.
Anyway, now that you know I’m still depressed as hell, what can this website do for you? It’s not gonna cure your depression, that much I can tell you. I don’t have any secrets to sell you, or magic potions, or heck, even happy little pills (that’s illegal). If I did, I wouldn’t be in this mess myself.
And actually, it turns out I suffer from a host of other mental illnesses in addition to depression, so this blog isn’t even JUST a depression blog anymore. Try the depressed, anxious, possibly autistic, possibly ADHD duck… who also suffers from CPTSD. Fun times.
All I can really do at this point is document the recovery process itself. So here we are. Stick around if you want… or don’t. Your choice.
